Coach Chad
Chad Nikazy is a 35 year old father of three (Isabella Hope - 5 years old, Max Edward and Katherine “Kate” Ann - 1 year old twins). He has been married to his wife, Karen Ann, for 10 years. They reside in Spring Hill, TN.
Chad is an Army brat, the son of Lt. Colonel Eddie and Peggy Nikazy, so he spent time living in many places, before finally landing in Hendersonville, TN in 1985. He graduated from HHS and subsequently Middle Tennessee State University in 1998.
Chad and Karen Nikazy are the owners of Top Step Fitness. In 2007 Chad formed the 501c3 nonprofit Triathletes for Africa (later called Triathletes for Hope). The Charity collected and distributed over 3000 pair of running shoes from triathletes and runners nationwide to those in need around the globe. Chad served as Executive Director of TFH in addition to serving as the Director of Counselor Training Promotion for Dave Ramsey’s company (The Lampo Group).
Chad is a formerly certified AFAA (aerobics and fitness association of America)certified personal trainer as well as a USA Triathlon Level 1 certified coach. He has also been Centennial High School head wrestling coach, Hendersonville High School assistant wrestling coach, and Williamson County Wrestling Club assistant coach.
Chad represented the USA at the 2005 ITU Age Group Triathlon World Championships in Honolulu. Over the years Chad has developed his fitness through a variety of means including wrestling, heavy lifting, running, cycling, triathlon, swimming, hockey, boxing, etc. He brings this varied experience to you and offers variety in your workouts. It’s this experience that sets Chad apart from other trainers and coaches. He can coach endurance/multisport athletes as well as combat sport athletes.
